We discuss the recent announcement that Disney has acquired part of 20th Century Fox and the franchises it will now own and their implications for the movie industry. We also talk about what this takeover will mean for the future of Netflix, Hulu, and Disney’s proposed streaming service. Is this a good thing? Are we excited? What are the short- and long-term ramifications of this in light of the previous purchases of Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm?
