The month of April is officially BATMONTH on Nerdy Bitches Podcast, and this week we get rolling with Batman Mask of the Phantasm and the Animated Series! Episode 122 has us asking if these iconic Batman animated adventures hold up—of course they do!!
SPOILER Warning: Our Review of Mask of the Phantasm contains some spoilers. However, we do not spoil the WHOLE Movie, so there is plenty to watch if you haven’t seen it yet. The bigger issue is Why haven’t you seen it yet? It’s iconic Batman!
Mask of the Phantasm & Batman the Animated Series
Mask of the Phantasm may not have come out chronologically first, but this is the origin story that we all asked for … and not the one they keep telling us (we know already… stop killing the Waynes on repeat).
We also explore The Animated Series. How TAS is the entry point for many in terms of Gotham, Villians, and the Bat Family.
Batman the Animated Series introduces us to detective batman. The noir retro stories and art deco backdrops enhance the vibe. We love noir Batman!
