Episode 103 – Mainstreaming Nerd Culture Across Generations

In this episode, Liz and Heather discuss mainstreaming nerd culture across generations. Has nerdom become more acceptable in mainstream society? Are nerds the new hipsters or exclusive club? Will Liz and Heather ever choose to clean their respective homes if they can get away with it? Tune in to this week’s episode to find out!

Mainstreaming Nerd Culture Across Generations

Heather has returned from her adventures with several comic cons in California and has much to say about them, compared to our experiences with Comicpalooza. Both are looking forward to the upcoming Fandemic Tour in Houston, so hopefully Liz will be able to attend and report.

Liz and Heather debate whether or not NERD has actually gone mainstream, or if it is specific to certain fandoms/genres. They also discuss how this has changed over the generations and some of the potential jumping off points.

We also talk quite a lot about cleaning (or not), and other off-the-rails topics, as usual.
