Episode 46 – DC TV

In this episode, Liz and Heather team up with our new friend Carla (http://www.carlasueinvites.com/) on to talk about D.C. TV! First, she brought us some Classy as Fuck note cards, so we were super excited about that!

DC TV

On to the show…

We wanted to talk about how great D.C. has been doing in the television realm – Way to go, CW! We will mainly discuss Arrow, The Flash, and Gotham, since they are available of Netflix and 2/3 of us don’t have cable. Heather will talk about Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Arrow is utterly awesome. We have seen up through Season 3 (thanks, Netflix). It is total binge watching fodder. You will have to stop and watch The Flash once he comes into play because there are a lot of crossover episodes between the two shows. We all have a love for John Barrowman, who has now been cast as Malcolm Merlin in all of the DC television shows.

We pop over to American Gods (the new series coming out) for a bit and drool over the guy playing Shadow. Yum. And Dane Cook will be playing, Robbie, the douchebag, which works perfectly. If you haven’t listened to our Book Club episode on American Gods, go do it! It’s a total freak show, much like the book.

We also take some time to drool over the hot guys in the DC movies and tv shows, because we can.

This past week, Liz and Heather met up with some other Houston-area podcasters to see Batman: The Killing Joke, which we really liked. They did add a big hunk of Batman/Barbara Gordon that wasn’t in the graphic novel that was kind of pathetic.

Next week, we will be having our first ever crossover episode with another podcast! We are teaming up with 1980s Movie Graveyard to do a movie commentary on 1985’s Commando! Make sure you check it out and give the graveyard guys a like!
