Episode 80 – Dungeons and Dragons Campaign

Welcome to the first recorded session of Nerdy Bitches Podcast Beginners Dungeons and Dragons Campaign! This is Part 1 of our 2nd game session. We are playing with the 5th Edition Starter Set using a pre-generated campaign and characters. Since this is the first time playing for nearly all of our game members, we wanted to start with the basics and go from there. You can check out our previous episode on D&D to hear about the players and their experience levels, as well as common myths and misconceptions about the game itself here: Episode 73: Dungeons and Dragons for Beginners.

During our first session, we met the characters (pulled from the 5th edition Player’s Handbook. The Starter Set does include five pre-generated characters to start.) and began our adventure. We did not record this session as it was really long and there was a lot of learning curve since nearly all of our players were newbies. We have a player, Jessica (from our Cosplay and Geek Crushes episodes), playing a Half-Elf Bard named Ivane, but she was unable to attend this session, so her character has been stricken with food poisoning as this session opens.

Players in this episode include:

  • Liz – Wood Elf Ranger, Rivonel the Melodious (aka River Song)
  • Heather – Dragonborn Sorcerer, Joyassa
  • Producer Craig – Drow Rogue, Shyntal’drin Ale’urden
  • Mandy (Casterquest) – Half-Orc Paladin, Ba’Sha the Tusky
  • Thirsty (Dogfin Radio) – Human Cleric, Brigid
  • Operaman (aka Paul) – Dungeon Master

Listen in as we head back to the cave from our first adventure to rescue someone, save some shit, and find some treasure! Make sure you follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest to keep up with the latest game play episodes!

Also keep an eye on the website for session summaries and more!
